I have some kind of bad ground loop, and when I connect the cables, I get BAD hum, regardless of the switch settings on the amp...it comes through everywhere! I have 3-prong grounded plugs in my apartment, and I checked them for connections. I have the amp plugged into the same isolator box as the NeXT, which I have to avoid power surges. I have my tape decks and stuff, which are also plugged into the amp, still plugged into another wall socket-- but I have even tried wiring the grounds on the two sockets together...all to no avail. The stereo outs work fine when plugged into a DC powered tape deck, so I know they work. Has anyone else ever had this problem?? It is a real pain. Someone responded that I may need audio isolator transformers...great...so why doesnt NeXT include them with the machine? Thanks in advance.
