Date: Sun 20-Aug-1990 17:57:07 From: Unknown Subject: Evaluations of NeXT Performance in Multi-user Situations Requested Our site is considering purchasing a new machine to replace our current, overly costly to maintain, machine. The NeXT has been mentioned as a possibility, but its ability to meet the needs of our site's multi-user environment (16+ users with various applications from telnet use to compiling & other CPU/IO intensive jobs) has been disputed by various outside sources. I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who is running a NeXT in a similar situation, or can refer me to someone who does. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
