This is sendmail.cf in view mode; [Up]

Date: Sun 20-Sep-1989 19:25:33 From: Unknown Subject: sendmail.cf The mailer on my NeXT does something funny to the Return-Path: line in SMTP mail. For no reason that I can determine, it is stripping off the machine name, and just leaving the user name, i.e. Return-Path: <mccalpin> rather than Return-Path: <mccalpin@masig3.ocean.fsu.edu> This makes it very difficult to reply to mail messages that I send out! The sendmail.cf file that I am using looks OK, and works fine on all of my other machines (Silicon Graphics workstations). It appears to be functionally identical to the sendmail.cf the Sun's here too. Is this a malady that anyone recognizes? Here are the relevant pieces (I think) of my sendmail.cf file:
# Our local domain ($D is added to $w [hostname] for official name in base.m4) DDfsu.edu DTocean Cwmasig3.ocean.fsu.edu masig3 # my official hostname Dj$w.$T.$D # UNIX header format DlFrom $g $d ############################# ### Format of headers ### ############################# H?P?Return-Path: <$g> id $i; $b H?D?Date: $a H?F?From: $q H?x?Full-Name: $x H?M?Message-Id: <$t.$i@$j> H?D?Resent-Date: $a H?F?Resent-From: $q H?M?Resent-Message-Id: <$t.$i@$j>
