This is Framemaker-a-commendation in view mode; [Up]

Date: Sun 20-Sep-1989 16:44:52 From: Unknown Subject: Framemaker---a commendation I realize that everyone is busy with 1.0, but I still hope the following message isn't lost. I commend the inclusion of a (possibly deliberately) buggy version of Framemaker. It prevents the very, very casual student user from stealing a copy, and noone who is a serious user would not buy the real, supported and guaranteed $1,000 FM. It is excellent PR policy for FM. I, for example, have not used FM yet, but given a few demos on it, and know that at least 2 individuals are currently attempting to (and will most likely succeed in) convincing their respective companies to buy FM. I hope other companies will consider similar policies. /ivo welch iwelch@agsm.ucla.edu phd_ivo@gsbacd.uchicago.edu >From: george@hyper.lap.upenn.edu (George "Sir Lleb" Zipperlen)
