Date: Sun 31-Oct-1989 02:54:50 From: Unknown Subject: SliTeX on the NeXT Some time ago there was a message on this group that the version of SliTeX shipped with release 1.0 of the NeXT operating system was not working properly. I tried it today with slides developed on another system and it worked just fine. One thing to be cautious of with SliTeX is that the source files have to be arranged in a curious way. You really do need two source files, a driver file and a file describing the contents of the slides, even if you only have one slide. By the way, I find the TeX previewer on the NeXT to be the best I have ever worked with. Thanks to Tom Rokicki for that. The previewer even allows you to preview dvi files that contain encapsulated PostScript figures. Douglas Bates, Statistics, U. of Wisconsin-Madison >From: robertl@bucsf.bu.edu (Robert La Ferla)
