Date: Sun 03-Oct-1989 14:36:25 From: Unknown Subject: More on the SoundKit? We have 4 NeXTs that we plan to use in a communications lab setting. We devoured the 0.9 Technical Docs (on line and the hardcopy) and recently upgraded to 1.0 (much nicer). Now we need more information on the SoundKit.... more than is online, more than in the 0.9 tech docs. Alas, our hardcopy 1.0 Tech docs have not arrived, and the online version is incomplete. One of the things that we specifically need information on is how to take algorithmically generated waveforms, like sin and cos generated (for example) in C programs, and write out sound files. This should be simple, and I'm sure it is, but I don't have enough info without the full 1.0 docs. our sales guy sez our docs are coming soon... but I'm anxious to get going now. Can anyone help? Code, pointers to code, pointers to more docs, anything else, appreciated. If what I'm looking for is either in the hardcopy 0.9 docs, or online in 1.0, I apologize, but I couldn't locate it. ^Deke Kassabian, deke@ee.rochester.edu or ur-valhalla!deke Univ of Rochester, Dept of EE, Rochester, NY 14627 (+1 716-275-3106) >From: scott@prism.gatech.EDU (Scott Holt)
