Date: Sun 12-May-1989 14:04:00 From: Unknown Subject: NetInfo Domains How can one setup the network to have the domain system use more than two levels?? We have one machine, travis, that is going to serve for our next cluster (which includes some MicroVaxen). It needs its local (tag) databse, which is no problem, but I want to set up a "cica" domain that contains all the information local to our department before going to the "network" domain for the rest of the information. Additionally, if I wanted to insert an "indiana" domain as the parent of "cica" how would I do it??? In the documentation, it is stated that searches progress from the leaves of the network database up to (and ending with) "netroot". Is "netroot" a literal? If not, how is "netroot" determined? Thanks for any info you can give, Nick Cline NeXT Support Services CICA, Indiana University nick@cica.cica.indiana.edu >From: jec@iuvax.cs.indiana.edu (James E. Conley)
