(retail value is $515. plus media cost) and optical disk containing a special set of Adobe PostScript(1) fonts to aid in the development of software on the NeXT computer. This NeXT Developer Font Kit contains the following ten typefaces: Stone(2) Serif STENCIL Stone Serif Italic Hobo Stone Serif Semibold BrushScript Stone Serif Semibold Italic Sonata(3) Stone Serif Bold Stone Serif Bold Italic The optical disk contains PostScript outlines, screen fonts, and Adobe Font Metric (AFM) files for each of the above typefaces. We are making the developer font kit available to ensure that applications work with the varying font attributes, encodings, and glyph sets available in a wide range of PostScript fonts. Also, for developers creating applications for setting music, access to the font Sonata (a musical notation font) and its accompanying documentation will be invaluable. If you are a registered NeXT developer you should have received an order form recently in the mail. If you haven't received one, please send proof of your status as a registerd NeXT developer, and we'll be happy to send you a Font Kit order form. For end users, just a quick reminder that Adobe plans to make the entire Adobe Type Library available for the NeXT computer. Details on pricing and distri- bution will be announced at a later date.
