This is resizing in view mode; [Up]

Date: Sun 19-Jul-1989 02:44:24 From: Unknown Subject: Re: resizing Since there seems to be a vocal interest in the window resizing mechanism for the NeXT I'll try to summarize. Anyone who has access to a NeXT is forewarned to skip this article. Hopefully, this article does not start jihads over the relative merits of different resizing schemes. In 0.9, the resize button in the title bar was replaced with a resize bar at the bottom of a window. Like: +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | | | | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ You can move the bottom and side of the window simultaneously by starting to drag the region adjacent to the side you wish to move in any direction except left or right only. Moving a region adjacent to a side in only the left or right direction locks the bottom in place for the resize and only allows the adjacent side to move. You can move the bottom without moving a side by dragging the middle region up or down.
