Date: Sun 19-Jul-1989 03:24:16 From: Unknown Subject: LaTeX on the NeXT I'm sorry that I missed the discussion the first time around on LaTeX. I am trying to use LaTeX on my NeXT and have been running into troubles with the page layout. If I do a basic document with textheight = 9 inches, textwidth = 6.5 inches, and topmargin = 1 inch and run it through latex and dvips and try to use the previewer on the resulting .ps file I get a wider than normal and shorter than normal page. The top part of the page is missing as is the bottom of the page. The page is centered horizontally and gets some of it chopped off when printed. Any clues as to what is going wrong? Did I not set something up correctly in the .tex document? Is dvips or latex at fault? PS. I have set the appropriate links to the font directories so that isn't contributing to the problem as far as I can tell. Also, the printed output on a LaserWriter isn't to nice (it downloads the fonts I believe). What was the outcome of the "can LaTeX use built-in LaserWriter fonts" discussion? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |"The problem that I find most distressing is that Bryce Jasmer | people tend to make sweeping generalizations.
