The bit map formed by Postscript(tm) is proprietary to Adobe Systems Inc., and I don't think either they or NeXT will release the information. If they did, then we'd all be able to copy Adobe's fonts! According to Byte Magazine (November 1988), the printer is "built around a custom-designed laser engine based on the Canon LBP-SX [same as the HP Laser- jet II, I think] laser engine." (ie.
