Although there has been many mistakes/arguments that people made regarding a Mac or NeXT, I believe the point is, THERE IS NO PERFECT COMPUTER, yet. The computer that can provide the "rest of users" a good interface and joy of computing will eventually live. I believe both NeXT and the Mac (and probably others) are among these long live computers. The thing is, there will eventually be a lot of changes, both to the software and to the hardware. So, eventually there will be a lot of softwares for the NeXT. And a Mac will eventually have a cheap optical drive, good sound..etc and probably a command shell. Things will eventually evolve, reunify and Merry Xmas to everyone--what you are fighting over will be solved as time goes by.
