Subject: improving wireframe images when using Interactive Renderman

Greetings,

Is it possible to increase the number of polygons used to display
shapes generated by functions such as RiSphere() and Ri_Torus() when
using the Interactive Renderman renderer on the NeXT? I have used
patch meshes to get better looking wireframe surfaces with
Interactive Renderman, but it seems there should be a simpler way to
do it than using meshes.

I've also been playing with adding shapes to 3DReality. When I add a
spherical shape which was generated by either RiSphere or custom code
(using a mesh), the number of facets that are displayed can be
changed with a slider. Is there a simple explanation as to what's
going on behind the scenes in 3DReality? I'm guessing that 3DReality
does what I'm trying to do in my first question. I've been unable to
peek at 3DReality with AppInspector. It always crashes when I try to
use it.

Thanks,
Chuck
