Tue Mar 29 02:26:41 GMT-0700 1994 This document shows the basic interface I developed for the TTS XModule. It also has 3 sample sound files along with the text which was used to generate the DSP sound. The sounds have been converted to 8 bit Mulaw to decrease transfer time. The quality is not noticably compromised. Since the TTS DevKit object and the UserKit object are commercial products, I can't distribute them without paying for them. I am very reluctant to do so until there is enough interest shown to financially justify it. So, if you people like what you see, and like what you hear and want it via HyperSense then I will make a package available for about $100.00. The package will include the TTS UserKit as well as all source for the TTS XModule and the TTS HyperSense/SenseTalk front-end I wrote. As well there is a complete Specification.rtfd which I have posted. It is available on the Oregon State archive in cs.orst.edu:/pub/next/HyperSense/TTS_XModule_Specification.rtfd.compressed sometime after the quick archiver dude puts it in its place. Regards, Todd Anthony Nathan NOTE: Trillium is NOT responsible for the TTS XModule. TextToSpeech is a trademark of Trillium. HyperSense is a trademark of Thoughtful Software. My name is a trademark of mine.
