Copyright 1993 (c) Todd Anthony Nathan. All Rights Reserved. Mon Dec 6 16:33:18 MST 1993 Here is a rather useful tool for NEXTSTEP users whom are delving into UNIX commands. This distribution contains a front-end to the UNIX Manual Pages. Of particular interest is the hack to allow splitviews. A splitview is a view which contains multiple views (usually two) separated by a resizing knob on a bar. A good example of such a device may be seen from your file viewer when resizing shelf is turned on from within the Workspace Mangler's Preferences panel. Granted my implementation is a hack, it works and could be duplicated (taking my code) quite easily. Being that HS does not current support splitviews directly, this may be the way to do things for some time to come. You will see some stackviewer scroll bars when you resize from a larger size to a smaller size. This artifact will likely be fixed in the future, so don't worry about it. Yes it is not quite so pretty, but I put SenseTalk code in to clean things up when you resize the ManualPages.sense main window frame. There is also some useful techniques in making your HS document look and feel more like a NEXTSTEP stand-alone application. The information and help options are of particular interest regarding this technique. I must also point out that this document installs its menus into the Tools menu of HyperSense. Finally, you are welcome to use and abuse any of the code included in this distribution. Just give credit where it is needed. Use your best judgement. And I do NOT take responsibility for the software's use/abuse/misuse. Use at your own risk. Regards, Todd Anthony Nathan PS. Check sums for the files in this distribution are: 59897 58 ManualPages.sense.tar.Z
