samba.1.9.17p4.1.README Dec 4, 1997 md5dum: 91e774ed92e9aa733271a8da25380d79 samba.1.9.17p4.1.NIS.b.tar.gz (~1864kb) NOTES: Regarding the versioning of this package: I tacked on a .1 to the version of this port to represent my first attempt at porting samba v1.9.17p4 to OpenStep. This package contains Samba, a file server that lets an OPENSTEP computer share directories and printers with computers running Microsoft Windows. Install it only on computers running OPENSTEP 4.x for Mach. This is an update from the version of samba distributed with OpenStep 4.2 for Mach (v.1.9.16p?). This update fixes an important security problem and has all the latest bug-fixes and enhancements, of course. See the samba home page for details.
