LoginStats (A System Administration Tool) OpenStep Version 2.0 by Eric Tremblay (ericet@cam.org) Submitted to: ftp://next-ftp.peak.org/pub/openstep/submissions Should end up in: ftp://next-ftp.peak.org/pub/openstep/mach/apps/utils/misc Intro: ====== LoginStats was born from the need to know who was logged into my computer and who logged in that day. It can give you other interesting information about who and how much time users were using the computer. I think it's very useful and hope you think so too. Please note that this application is simply a front end for the unix "ac" and "last" commands. With some little added features. New Features: I have added commands to be able to track what programs are or have been executed on the machine. In order to do this you need to enable the system accounting on your system. I added the sa button that will display system accounting information for every process that has been executed and also another button with the -m option which will print number of processes and number of CPU minutes for each user. I have also added lastcomm which gives information on previously executed commands. The Package: ============ Version 2.0 comes complete in a tar.gz package. Which includes: - LoginStats.app A FAT OpenStep binary for NeXT, Intel and Sparc hardware - README.TXT This file - SpecialOffer Information about a special offer for the Nebula CDROM - Includes Full Source Code - FAT OpenStep binary, NeXT, Intel and SPARC. Compiling: ========== This version includes all the source code necessary to recompile the program from scratch on OpenStep 4.0+ systems.
