IconGrab by Marcel Weiher A simple application that displays the icon of a file dropped into the well of its main window. The icon can then be copied and pasted into another application. The app can be used as an easy example for accepting file-name dragging. Note that the call to NSWorkspace is not done in the drag accepting method because that causes a deadlock (the drag is initiated by the workspace). This program is in the public domain, though I'd appreciate it if (a) the original author info stayed intact and (b) any changes were duly noted.
