Hans-Peter -

Hello, I work in NeXT developer support. One of my customers reported the following problem:

(3) InterfaceBuilder will cheerfully accept many palettes;
	however, if the combined(!) path length exceeds 1024,
	IB can no longer start. You have to prune the file
	~/.NeXT/defaults.nibd to get things going again.

I am unable to find any reports of such a problem. I am wondering if you have run across this problem yourself, and if it has been reported to NeXT? If not, I would like to get more details so that I can submit a bug to our engineering department for them to look at.

Thanks -

Hi,

thanks for your MiscKit.
We had some trouble with the installation.
This help us:

MiscKit 1.3

(1) before make all can make examples, one needs to install the kit.

(2) in Examples/TestExplodingMenus:
	rm MiscExplodingMenu.m
	ln -s ../../Source/MiscKit/MiscExplodingMenu.m .

(3) InterfaceBuilder will cheerfully accept many palettes;
	however, if the combined(!) path length exceeds 1024,
	IB can no longer start. You have to prune the file
	~/.NeXT/defaults.nibd to get things going again.
