MiscKitArchive.mbox.tar.gz is a NeXT .mbox directory which contains an archive of all messages sent to the misckit alias, used for discussions about the development of the misckit. This archive only contains messages up to the modification time listed on the file; any messages since that time are being collected and this file will be regularly updated. If you aren't on a NeXT, most of the messages are located in the file MiscKitArchive.mbox/mbox. (It looks like a typical UNIX flat-file mail box.) The rest of the messages are in NeXTMail messages and their message text is located in the file index.rtf inside the *.attach directories. (Only the header is in the mbox file.) The table_of_contents file is a binary index into the mbox file used by NeXTMail. If you want to send a message to the list, e-mail to misckit@listman.thoughtport.com. To get on or off the list, send e-mail to misckit-request@listman.thoughtport.com. The current version of the kit is MiscKit1.8.1.s.gnutar.gz, also in this directory. Questions?
